The most common question people have about vaporizers is “how to clean a vaporizer?”

People use vaporizers but neglect taking care of them and this leads to several problems.

A marijuana vaporizer can last a long time with proper care. Ideally, vaporizers should be cleaned thoroughly after each use. Keep inspecting your vaporizer periodically for damage.

Here are instructions on how to keep your vaporizer clean:

Plastic Tube

We recommend that the plastic tube that is connected to the handpiece be replaced frequently rather than cleaned. This is because of issues such as melting of the tube, clogging as well as the possibility of undetected leaks. A standard tube is available at hardware stores or home depots; whereas a superior quality medical grade tube can be obtained from a medical supply store.

Handpiece & Whip

Cleaning the handpiece involves removing the plastic tube first. The tube can be loosened and removed by running it under hot water. If this does not work, then remove the tube by creating a slit in it and then make the tube-end even by removing the slit-end.

The handpiece, once separated from the plastic tube, needs to be placed in a ziplock bag, covered with rubbing alcohol with enough table salt sprinkled in. Zip the bag up and shake for sometime till it gets clean. Then, place the handpiece under running warm water, ensuring all the residue comes off. If the handpiece does not get cleaned on the first attempt, follow this procedure till you are satisfied that your handpiece is clean.

Vaporizers are easy to maintain and this whole process takes very little time if you only know how.
